Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, now part of Echo Global Logistics, is hiring a Forklift Driver to support our warehouse operations. You will inspect equipment, load and unload goods, and maintain accurate inventory records while upholding strict safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass our internal forklift certification. You must be able to work in dusty, hot, or cold conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
