Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, based in Greenville, SC, is seeking a dependable forklift driver to join our warehouse team. You will inspect equipment, load and unload goods, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure safe operation in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass internal forklift certification. You must be able to lift 50–65 lbs and work in dusty, hot or cold conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
