Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a forklift driver to load and unload materials, inspect equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records in a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 months forklift experience, a High School diploma or GED, and must complete internal forklift certification training. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50–65 lbs and working in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
