Job summary

Roadtex Transportation in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced forklift driver to join our warehouse team. You will inspect equipment, load and unload goods from trucks, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe for everyone.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. This role requires at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass internal

Qualifications

3 months forklift experience or related warehouse equipment experience.
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
Ability to pass internal forklift certification and safety procedures.
Ability to work in dusty, hot or cold conditions.

Responsibilities

Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
