Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a forklift driver to join our warehouse team. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining accurate inventory, with attention to detail and clear communication.

The position requires the ability to work independently or in a team, comply with safety procedures, and perform in varied conditions. This is a hands-on warehouse role integral to our distribution operations.

Qualifications

• 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Able to pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift before use to ensure proper working condition.
• Load and unload materials and goods onto/off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintain inventory records and report discrepancies to management.
• Ensure that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Report any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
