Job summary

Roadtex Transportation has a forklift driver opening to support our warehouse operations. The role requires operating forklifts safely, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

We require at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass internal forklift certification. Applicants should be able to perform in dusty, hot or cold conditions and contribute to a team-focused safety culture.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures.
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
