Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Forklift Operator to support daily operations in an outdoor, on-site environment. The role is full-time, with competitive pay and benefits, and offers growth opportunities within a stable industry.

The successful candidate will operate forklifts safely, perform daily site walk-throughs, assist with moving drums and equipment, and support contractors on projects while adhering to all safety regulations. A safety-minded, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have previous forklift experience; will be tested at hire
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Solid writing skills
• Ability to listen well and communicate effectively
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical and background check
• Wear all PPE and pass medical exams
• Speak, read, write fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality required
• Military experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift safely and efficiently
• Conducts daily walk throughs of the tank farm (housekeeping and cleaning)
• Assists with moving drums, totes and other items by forklift
• Assists with moving equipment and items for contractors on projects
• Assists with requests from process Supervisors
• Supports the plant process team with special projects
• Abides by all plant safety requirements
• Completes any other duties assigned to complete the job
