Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Forklift Operator to move freight from receiving to storage and replenish pick slots in a multi-temperature warehouse. You will use a forklift or pallet jack, inspect items, and ensure GMP and safety standards are met.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 90 pounds, and adherence to shift schedules including Sundays and Mondays. Drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months warehouse/distribution experience.
• Ability to work scheduled times and overtime as needed.
• Able to lift 10–35 lb repeatedly and up to 60–90 lb depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures; keep work area safe and report hazards.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and prepare supplies for operations.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location.
• Transport incoming freight to inventory using forklift or pallet jack.
• Inspect items for damage and perform temperature/quality checks.
