Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. in the southern Columbus area is seeking a Forklift Operator and Material Handler to move, store, and stage materials within our warehouse and production facility.

You will load and unload trucks, maintain inventory records, and help ensure a safe, organized workplace. The role requires experience with warehouse operations, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to work with production teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification/license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Proven experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving procedures.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) as required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy in material handling and placement.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
• Move and load raw materials and finished products as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or logs.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report issues promptly.
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Follow safety regulations, company policies, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.

Job Summary
