Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking a Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Salt Lake City.

This role focuses on operating forklifts and material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience and certification, knowledge of warehouse operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy in inventory records.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience and certification when required.
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing priorities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment following safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks with accuracy in material handling and placement.
• Transport materials to designated areas within warehouse or production facility.
• Move raw materials and finished products as required.
• Maintain inventory movement records using scanning systems or logs.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report issues.
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Follow all safety regulations and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.

Job Summary

This role involves operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials within the warehouse or production facility. Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy in material handling and placement.
• Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
• Move and load raw materials and finished products as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or manual logs.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues promptly.
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid forklift operator certification/license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving procedures.
