Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking detail-oriented Shipping and Kitting Personnel to join our Columbus-area team.

This role focuses on preparing kits for production, packaging finished goods, and ensuring accurate and timely shipping of products. Ideal candidates will have experience in warehouse operations, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping, kitting, or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flame-activated tool usage for wrapping/sealing materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble kits according to production requirements and verify component accuracy.
  • Prepare and package finished goods for shipment with proper labeling/documentation.
  • Pick, stage, and organize materials for kitting and shipping.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or logs.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure packaging quality and compliance with standards.
  • Support inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
  • Keep shipping and kitting areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all safety regulations, policies, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble kits according to production requirements and verify accuracy of components.
  • Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Pick, stage, and organize materials for kitting and shipping based on work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or manual logs.
