Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Forklift Operator and Material Handler to move, load, and stack materials within our warehouse and production areas.

The ideal candidate will have forklift certification, experience with inventory movements, and a focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Valid forklift operator certification/license (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy in material handling and placement.
  • Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
  • Move and load raw materials and finished products as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or manual logs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.

Job Summary
