Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator II to safely operate material handling equipment in our California warehouse. The role emphasizes accuracy, productivity, and adherence to safety procedures, with over 50% of time spent on forklift duties as core responsibilities.

Responsibilities include stacking, loading, and unloading shipments, performing pre-operation inspections, supporting cycle counts, and using RF scanners to ensure inventory integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete pre-operation inspections of equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise in designated locations.
• Unload inbound shipments and transport to storage areas.
• Pull, stage, and prepare products for outbound shipment.
• Verify correct quantity and product type for loading and shipping.
• Perform order picking with accuracy and timeliness.
• Use RF scanning devices to support inventory management.
• Maintain documentation for inventory accuracy and security.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
