Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to handle material movements, locate and stack merchandise, and count inventory in the warehouse. The role emphasizes safe forklift use, accuracy, and productivity, with responsibilities across loading, unloading, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include pre-operation inspections, stacking, loading into trailers, using RF scanners, and maintaining inventory integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift experience and/or warehouse equipment familiarity.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Completes pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type for loading/shipping.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely manner.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support inventory accuracy.
• Maintains inventory records and supports cycle counts as directed.
• Reports safety concerns and incidents to management.
