Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator II to move, stack, and count merchandise in our warehouse. The role requires spending at least half of time operating forklifts, while performing order filler/checker duties as needed for productivity and accuracy.

Responsibilities include safe operation, pre-operation inspections, inventory management, RF scanning, and cycle counts. Strong attention to detail and basic math are essential, with forklift certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years forklift operation experience.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated rack locations
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and transports product to assigned storage locations
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loadsMaintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed
• Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
• Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly
• Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management
