Job summary

Wieland is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator II for its Granite City, IL facility. The role involves sit-down forklift operations within a fast-paced warehouse, accurate product handling, and strict safety adherence. The position is fully on-site with a Mon–Fri schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and pays $20–$22 per hour, paid weekly.

The ideal candidate brings forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to support shipping, receiving, and interdepartmental needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of forklift hazard safety and PPE requirements.
• Ability to read and understand packaging/shipping documents.
• Dependable and punctual attendance.
• Excellent teamwork and communication in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate motorized material handling equipment in a warehouse.
• Maintain equipment in safe condition and report service needs.
• Position equipment properly before loading/unloading.
• Load products accurately and ensure correct weight and lot details.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet company goals.
• Move products from staging areas into trailers.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in daily orientation/training.
