Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator I for its Granite City, IL facility. This on-site role runs Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm with weekly pay.

You will operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, ensuring safe, efficient movement of products and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include maneuvering equipment, loading/unloading, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily general warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to forklift operations.
• Ability to wear and properly utilize PPE as required.
• Ability to read and understand packaging and shipping documents.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Demonstrate good judgment and ask questions as needed.
• Attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver motorized material handling equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely and report service requests as needed.
• Position equipment properly before loading/unloading.
• Select products with high accuracy.
• Follow directions from department leaders and collaborate with teammates.
• Move and load products from staging areas into trailers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow OSHA procedures.
