Job summary

Performance Food Group in Jackson, MS is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to move, store, and stage product across cooler, freezer, and dry areas. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load/unload freight, and ensure GMP and quality standards are met throughout daily tasks.

You will follow safety policies, perform equipment checks, and complete necessary paperwork while contributing to efficient, accurate shifts and a collaborative warehouse culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift up to 90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks and sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Counts incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and removes outdated inventory.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removes empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping; inspects pallets for damage.
• Follows all safety policies and reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs routine checks, secures equipment, and completes paperwork at shift end.
