Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our Texas distribution center. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment while moving products from receiving to storage and ensuring accuracy and safety throughout the shift.

The role requires reliable attendance, the ability to lift up to 90 pounds, and experience working in a multi-temperature environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution experience preferred.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 60–90 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper storage slots on racks and place pallets with forklift or hand stack.
• Count incoming freight in staging and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock per next day’s work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to front and remove outdated inventory.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets, inspect for damage and move as needed.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and prepare supplies for operations.
• Wear PPE and meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform general housekeeping and complete required paperwork at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
