Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services is seeking a Forklift Operator at our East Chicago, IN facility to handle incoming drums and materials, stage them for processing, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

This 3rd shift role (Sun night – Fri morning 11PM-7:30AM) requires unloading trailers, moving drums with a forklift, and completing daily checks and paperwork to support ongoing environmental processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hazardous waste industry experience desirable.
• Working knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations a plus.
• One year forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and move drums with a forklift.
• Follow storage and safety guidelines.
• Identify and segregate materials.
• Complete daily equipment checks and paperwork.
• Help with processing and sampling as needed.
• Keep the area clean and organized.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: East Chicago, IN
• Schedule/Shift: 3rd Shift - Sunday night – Friday morning 11PM-7:30AM
• Pay Range: $20.65-21.38/hr
  • Base Pay: $18.90/hr starting; Increases to $19.63 after 90 days;
  • Operator Pay: $0.75/hr
  • Shift Differential: $1.00/hr
