Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN is hiring a Laborer to support daily plant operations through material handling, equipment operation, and general facility upkeep in a safety-first environment. The position features a 4 on / 3 off schedule (Sat/Sun and two weekdays 5:00 AM–3:30 PM), weekly pay, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA options and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Industrial, warehouse, or labor experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to work on-site and perform physical work.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with container movements and plant operations.
• Perform housekeeping activities and area inspections.
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as trained.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
• Support compliance with facility permits and regulations.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: East Chicago, IN
• Shift:4 days on, 3 days off - Saturday/Sunday and two weekdays from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Pay Range: $20.15 - $20.88 per hour
  • Base Pay: $18.90 per hour starting; Increases to $19.63 per hour after 90 days;
  • Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour
