Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN is hiring a Fuel Processing Operator for the 4th shift (Sat–Tue, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM). You will operate a unit that processes the contents of incoming drums in an industrial setting, supporting our recycling and waste processing mission.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; forklift experience is preferred. Pay ranges from $20.90 to $21.63 per hour with weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry is a plus.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Operate a hydraulic arm to secure drums and a hoe to scrape contents of drums into the unit.
• Unload incoming trailers and process waste streams.
• Place or locate material in proper staging/storage areas.
• Prepare material for processing operations.
• Conduct daily inspections on forklifts.
• Perform simple maintenance activities such as cleaning and adding fluids.
• Accurately track drum storage and handle movements on tracking sheets as needed.
• Perform processing operations and other duties as needed.

• Location: East Chicago, IN
• Shift: 4th Shift (Saturday – Tuesday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Pay: $20.90 - $21.63 per hour
  • $18.90 per hour Base Pay. Scheduled increase to $19.63 after 90-day probationary period
  • $0.75 per hour Operator Pay
  • $1.25 per hour Shift Differential
