Job summary

Bachoco USA is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift at the Fort Smith, AR plant. The role supports loading, unloading and movement of product through distribution, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a cold production environment.

Shift hours are 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with eligible benefits including 401K, medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation after 90 days. Attendance and shift premium incentives apply.

Qualifications

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently in a processing and distribution environment.
• Support movement and handling of product across the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required.
• Unloading/loading of inbound, outbound and transfer trailers.
• Moving of product from one area to another.
• Work in temperatures from 0 to -20°F.
• Keep dock floors and equipment clear of debris.
• Up-stacking or down-stacking of product for storage, loading and inventories.
• Meet PIE operator requirements for OK Foods.
• Maintain an absentee rate of 5% or less.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Shift Hours: 11 a – 7:30 p

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour.

Assist in the production of quality food products by performing the following duties as applicable to a specific task or department. Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to: Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required; Assists in movement of product within the distribution process; Unloading/loading of inbound, outbound and transfer trailers; Moving of product from one area to another; Have the ability to work in temps ranging from zero to minus twenty degrees Fahrenheit; Keep dock floors and equipment clear of debris including but not limited to stretch wrap, wood, dust, snow, ice and exposed product; Up-stacking or down-stacking of product for storage, loading and inventories; Pass all requirements to be a PIE operator for OK Foods; Maintain an absentee rate of 5% or less. and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner.Production workers are required to stand for a period, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 POUNDS . Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
