Job summary

ALPLA Group in Iowa City is seeking a warehouse associate to support shipping, receiving, and packing finished goods. You will adhere to quality and safety standards, verify counts, and help maintain clean, organized storage areas.

The role requires a High School Diploma, familiarity with warehousing, and forklift experience. On-site, full-time position with benefits and opportunities to advance.

• Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing or distribution preferred.
• Experience with Forklift/Clamp Truck machinery preferred.
• Safety awareness and quality consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Part of customer service to ensure shipping on time.
• Preparing finished product to ship to customer; adhere to quality and quantity standards.
• Accurately records and stores raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse; handle packaging materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping; adhere to safety practices and PPE usage.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Part of customer service to ensure shipping on time
• Preparing finished product to ship to customer
  • Adheres to performance standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
• Following warehouse receiving and shipping procedures
  • Accurately records and stores raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse
  • Accurately handles and records all corrugated and plastic packaging products from receipt to storage and then to production
• Ensures good housekeeping within the warehouse
• Ensure adherence to all safety practice like but not limited to:
  • Forklift and dock doors safety check lists.
  • Ensure usage of proper PPE
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or behavior.
  • Adherence to golden safety rules.
