Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR wholesale distributor in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Material Handler I to receive, stock, pick, and ship products accurately. You will operate forklifts and RF scanners, verify shipments, print labels, and maintain safety and paperwork per SOPs.

Requires a HS diploma or GED, forklift cert, and 0–1 year experience; HVAC knowledge and ERP familiarity are plus; we offer competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment safely to locate, stock, and move products daily.
• Receive product by unloading trucks using forklift or by hand.
• Verify shipments against packing lists and complete necessary paperwork.
• Ensure bar code labels and stock numbers are correct; print labels as needed.
• Fill orders by picking, packing, and labeling for shipment.
• Document hazardous materials shipments with proper labeling and paperwork.
• Maintain accuracy and follow SOPs; participate in inventory counts as needed.
