Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Material Handler I to efficiently receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship products. You will operate forklifts and RF scanners, verify shipments, and maintain accurate inventory while adhering to safety procedures.

This role requires basic math, attention to detail, and teamwork to support fast, accurate order fulfillment. Valid forklift certification is required or obtainable on the job.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; 0–1 year of related experience or training or equivalent combination.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems is preferred.
• Forklift certification is required or willingness to obtain on the job.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and guidelines is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, forklift) to locate, store, and move products.
• Receive products by unloading trucks and verify against paperwork.
• Fill, pack, and ship orders; ensure correct labeling and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and participate in cycle counts as needed.
• Follow safety rules and keep a clean, organized work area; report hazards to supervisors.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
