Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC is seeking a Material Handler to process material according to work orders and ensure equipment is safe and clean. The role works on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery and requires lifting up to 40 lbs with attention to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety mindset required.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Use of hand held measuring tools.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment to run material per work order specifications.
• Record measurements and enter data as required.
• Identify and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Train others when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
• Assist in lean/quality activities.
