Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Material Handler to apply metal to orders and process material per work orders on the warehouse floor alongside heavy machinery. You will maintain a safe, clean and organized processing area while accurately performing information entry and using weighing scales and inspection measurements.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and forklifts, inspecting products, and communicating with sales representatives about order changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work orders.
• Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
• Operate cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Verify product against setup notes; record measurements.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per instructions.
• Assist in packaging material per instructions and work orders.
• Maintain and use measurement equipment properly.
• Identify, record and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.
