Job summary

Thyssenkrupp is seeking a Material Handler to apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work orders. The role operates on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery, maintaining a safe, clean area and accurately entering data.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, inspecting products, measuring, and assisting with packaging. The job emphasizes safety, lean/quality activities, and collaboration with sales for order updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety mindset required.
• Must be certified in the material handler position.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment to run material per work order specifications.
• Verify product meets setup note specifications and record measurements.
• Communicate changes/clarifications to orders with sales.
• Maintain issued measurement equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per instructions.
• Assist in packaging of material per instructions and work orders.
