Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR distributor, seeks a Material Handler I to receive, fill, and ship products with accuracy. You will operate power equipment, unload trucks, and ensure proper documentation and labeling at our facility in CA.

Ideal candidates have a GED, forklift cert, and experience with RF scanning and ERP systems. OSHA safety knowledge is valued, with opportunities to grow in a safety‑minded warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–1 year related experience.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry preferred.
• OSHA and safety regulations knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment to locate, store, and move products.
• Receive products by forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Verify shipments against packing lists and complete paperwork.
• Ensure proper labeling and barcodes on products.
• Fill orders by picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
• Document hazardous materials shipments and maintain safety.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and maintain a clean work area.
