Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to oversee daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs and deadlines, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. The role includes troubleshooting field issues, training personnel, and mentoring crew members to ensure productive, compliant work.

Ideal candidates will have CDL, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments with physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed ~300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses site issues with owner/customers and coordinates access and responsibilities.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains good customer relations through completed work and proper crew conduct.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Controls crew costs and optimal use of people and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, units of work, and crew time.
• Reports on incidents, equipment breakdowns, and follow-ups.
• cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments for safe operations.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect people and property.
