Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns daily crew work after orders are received.
• Conducts field training and retraining on new tasks.
• Enforces safety practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Coordinates with property owners on access and responsibilities.
• Obtains permissions to perform required work.
• Maintains customer relations through quality work.
• Investigates minor incidents and manages damage claims.
• Keeps records, timesheets, and crew performance reports.
• Controls crew costs and optimizes resource use.
• Provides reports to forepersons and utility reps.
• Furnishes incident and equipment reports as needed.
• Coordinates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking areas.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect workers and public.
• Inspects tools and trucks; ensures DOT maintenance for vehicles.
