Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Foreperson to oversee daily crew operations, coordinate with management on recruiting needs, deadlines, and safety protocols, and mentor crew members on required training.

You will handle field training, enforce safe practices per OSHA, manage access and responsibilities with property owners, and ensure accurate records and efficient crew performance. This role requires CDL and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access, power interruption, and work scope; refers complex cases to General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of work and crew conduct.
• Investigates minor incidents/damages and settles minor claims as delegated.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Controls crew costs and resource utilization; reports on orders and workload.
• Furnishes reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and personnel follow-up.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
