Job summary

EY is seeking a Finance/Compliance professional for its Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice in the United States. The role involves assisting with disaster recovery funding programs and grant compliance for government and public sector clients, including FEMA and HUD initiatives.

You will work with engagement teams, organize large data sets, verify program requirements, and travel as needed to client sites and EY offices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with services associated with disaster recovery funding management and compliance (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Assist with large grant projects for states and local governments and interact with local governments to support project development.
• Organize and analyze large volumes of information and verify compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.
