Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a forensics insurance and federal claims services professional focused on disaster recovery funding compliance under FEMA and HUD programs. You will collaborate with engagement teams to support state and local governments and manage complex grant projects.

You will interact with government stakeholders, organize large datasets, and verify compliance requirements, including transaction testing. Travel to client sites and some in-office work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

Responsibilities

• Assist engagement teams with management and compliance of disaster recovery funding (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Interact with local governments to support project development.
• Organize and analyze large volumes of information.
• Verify aspects of compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements.
