Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer with a PE to lead forensic investigations for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients in Raleigh, NC. You will assess causes of failure, prepare findings, and provide expert testimony when needed.

You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with other experts, and deliver clear client communications, reports, and budgets while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. Structural Engineering degree or higher.
• P.E. licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain quickly.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Field investigations to determine cause/origin of construction defects or structural failures and assess repairability.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting causes, extent of loss, repair scope, and remediation recommendations.
