Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc is seeking a civil/structural engineer to provide forensic consulting services for insurance, legal, and industrial clients. You will assess causes of failures, prepare formal reports, and provide expert testimony as needed.

This full-time role requires 5+ years of experience, a P.E. license, and strong communication skills. The position involves on-site and travel duties, managing multiple projects, and coordinating with clients and other experts.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or higher.
• A P.E. license is required in the state of employment, or ability to obtain quickly.
• NCEES record preferred.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Performs forensic assignments within civil/structural engineering based on scope and budget.
• Field investigations to determine causes of defects or damage and assess repairability.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting findings and offering opinions/expertise in litigation.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with experts to deliver client reports promptly.
• Ensure safety and due diligence throughout the project.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain client relationships.
