Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking a civil engineering forensics professional to provide expert analysis for insurance, legal, and industrial clients. You will assess causes of structural failures and building envelope issues, prepare findings, and testify when required.

The role involves managing multiple projects, coordinating with experts, conducting field investigations, and delivering clear reports. A PE license is required, with travel up to 50% locally/regionally.

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil Engineering degree or higher.
• P.E. required in the state of employment or the ability to obtain it quickly.
• 2-10+ years of experience.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties for legal matters and claims.
• Field Investigations: determine cause and origin of defects or damage and assess repairability.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting findings and provide opinions/testimony when needed.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to deliver client reports.
• Ensure safety diligence and maintain client relationships.
