Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to provide forensic consulting services for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients. The role involves determining causes/origins of failures and building envelope issues, and preparing reports and expert testimony.

Responsibilities include field investigations, site studies, and coordinating with clients and experts to deliver timely, accurate findings. Travel up to 50% local/regional; strong communication and analytical skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in state of employment or able to obtain quickly.
• 2–10+ years of experience in civil/forensic engineering.
• Project management and/or field investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs investigation and analysis of properties for resolving legal matters and claims.
• Conducts forensic assignments in civil engineering/construction per client scope and budget.
• Field investigations to determine causes of defects or damages and extent of repair.
• Prepare oral and written reports; provide opinions and expert testimony when needed.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with other experts to produce client reports.
