Job summary

Community Health Network Anderson Center of Hope seeks a Forensic Examiner RN (PRN, variable shifts) to provide forensic exams and nursing care for victims of violence, and to collect and preserve evidence with chain of custody.

Qualified candidates must hold an Indiana RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience; BSN preferred. SANE-A training is available with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• RN license in Indiana; minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (ED/ICU/PCU/OB/Med Surg) required.
• Forensic Nurse Examiner experience preferred; SANE-A certification training available with 2-year commitment.
• ACEN/CCNE/NLN or NLN CNEA accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide forensic examinations and nursing services for victims of violence.
• Collect and preserve forensic specimens with chain of custody.
• Coordinate referrals and access to services through Community Health Network and partners.
