Job summary

The Massachusetts Department of State Police seeks an Accountant II for the Fiscal Unit in the Forensic Services Division to prepare fiscal and grant documents and review invoices. The incumbent will work with the Deputy Director and Accountant IV to maintain ledgers, process payments in MOSAIC, analyze expenditures, and support procurement controls and compliance with state policies.

Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring adherence to payment and contract

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time accounting or budgeting experience.
• Massachusetts driver's license may be required.
• Substitutions allow associate or bachelor's degree for experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fiscal documents for Crime Lab accounts.
• Assist in developing budgets, reconciliations, and cost projections.
• Assist in monitoring internal controls and procurement policies.
• Process invoices and enter payments in MOSAIC.
