Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Foreman for our quarry in Springdale, Arkansas. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead safety, quality, and revenue initiatives across operations.

You will supervise 22 employees and manage production of about 1.2 million tons annually, ensuring plans and budgets are met while driving continuous improvement and compliance.

Preferred a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering with 3+ years in operations/engineering, plus knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, mining or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in operations/engineering with aggregate processing and surface quarrying.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; proven safety record.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and P&L understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across operations.
• Supervise a 22-person crew and production of about 1.2M tons per year.
• Ensure pit/mine activities meet plan specs and budgets.
• Identify deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
• Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and MSHA safety standards.
• Direct mine and pit planning; assist budgeting/forecasting.

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Foreman position in our quarry in Springdale, Arkansas. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage an operation with approximately 22 employees.
• Efficiently supervise production of a 1.2M Tons Per Year operation.
• Ensure the pit and mine activities are achieved to plan specifications.
• Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
• Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.
• Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training.
• Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations.
• Direct mine and pit planning.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in mining engineering, or similar is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in operations and engineering as well as significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying.
• Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.
• Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
• Possess strong basic math knowledge.
• Basic understanding of surveying and mapping skills are a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
• Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
• Ability to develop strong leadership at the lead person and foreman level.
• Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
