Job summary

The role requires a minimum of 1 year as a plant operator, with preferred mining and quarry experience. This is a full-time, outdoor position with potential overtime and weekend schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a plant operator.
• Experience with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.
• Mining experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform safety and maintenance inspections.
• Capable of troubleshooting equipment.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with safety and quality focus.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather.

Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator in Greer South Carolina, reporting to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Details

• Wage starts at $21.00hr. Starting Wage will be based on verifiable experience.
• Full-Time
• Schedules are subject to change
• Weekends as needed
• Overtime required as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required .
• Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
• Welding experience helpful along with general maintenance and repair abilities.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Team player mentality.
• Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with the probability of dust, noise, heat, and cold.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
