Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor and maintenance duties throughout the quarry and processing plant.
• Conduct routine inspections of crushers, screens, conveyors, motors, bearings, and other plant equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
• Lubricate, adjust, replace, and maintain plant components as directed.
• Clean material buildup from conveyors, crushers, screens, catwalks, and work areas.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and installation projects as needed.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues to maintenance supervisors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance outages.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
• Work safely around moving equipment, heavy machinery, and production processes.
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.

Rogers Group is seeking a Groundman/Laborer for our quarry operation located in Oak Ridge, TN.

The Groundman/Laborer is responsible for supporting aggregate production operations through general labor, plant maintenance, equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair activities. This position works closely with plant operators and maintenance personnel to ensure quarry equipment, conveyors, crushers, screens, and related systems operate safely and efficiently.

• Valid driver's license preferred.
