Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a store associate to deliver an excellent shopping experience, meet sales goals, and process POS transactions accurately. You will lead by example and help present the store and merchandise to customers in the best possible light.

Ideal candidates have interpersonal and basic math skills, retail experience (preferably footwear), and knowledge of store policies. Pay rate ranges from $9.00 to $10.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Able to communicate clearly and organize tasks efficiently.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear.
• Familiarity with store policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of merchandising and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness of service standards.
• Promote promotions and the rewards program while maintaining store presentation.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, stock, cleanliness, and organization.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and floor placement as needed.
• Process sales at the POS and ensure shoes are matched.
