Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Store Department Manager who will coach, develop, and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer service on the sales floor. You will recruit and train staff, lead by example, and drive business plans to meet department and store goals.

You will collaborate with the merchant team to ensure the right merchandise is available, and you will build strong customer relationships through on-floor selling and exceptional leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of successful retail management experience.
• Experience leading and motivating teams to be the best they can be.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence in a commission-based environment.
• Passion for teaching and coaching employees to achieve goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Proven track record of developing, planning and executing business strategies to maximize opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, direct and lead.
