Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Assistant Sales Department Manager in Columbia, MD to lead a high-performing team on the sales floor, drive directive selling, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

You will recruit, coach, and develop staff, partner with department leadership on business plans, merchandise presentation, inventory control, and building lasting customer relationships. This role offers pay and benefits with performance incentives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, develop and motivate your team - their success is your success

• Ensure salespeople are delivering outstanding customer service by teaching, coaching and leading by example
• Work with the department manager to ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Build long lasting relationships and create a loyal customer following by actively selling on the floor
• Assist the department manager in ensuring accurate inventory management and achieve shrinkage goals
