Position Duties

Performs various functions as directed by the work schedule. Prepares and handles food according to sanitation and therapeutic requirements established by regulatory agencies, meeting patient and staff expectations. Maintains cleanliness and order in the department. Works under supervision and maintains good relationships with food service staff, dietetic staff, supervisors, and other departments such as nursing, housekeeping, and plant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Ability to read, write, and understand simple printed matter; capable of completing mathematical problems including fractions.
• Preferred Experience: 6 months in institutional food preparation.
