Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts as well as RF scanners. You will be responsible for accurate handling, loading/unloading, and maintaining a clean, efficient facility.

The role requires adherence to OSHA safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production targets. Weekend or overtime work may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, and check freight for accuracy, damage and infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners in accordance with OSHA standards to promote safety.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean, orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or battery changes as needed.
