Job summary

Yona Eagle is seeking a Manager in Training for Food Services to learn and assist with organizing, planning, directing, and supervising the dietary department which serves residents in a long-term care facility.

The MIT will learn to organize, plan, and supervise staff, ensuring compliance with standards while supporting resident dining experiences and collaborating with the Food Services Director.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality.
• Food service supervisory experience; long term care preferred.
• ServSafe Manager certification and National Restaurant Association credential.
• CDM/CFPP certification (Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional).
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Director with leading quality dining programs.
• Ensure dining programs meet federal, state, and local standards.
• Train workers in procedures and operation of equipment.
• Supervise and evaluate department staff performance.
• Plan staffing schedules to ensure adequate services.
• Maintain inventory, compliance, and personnel records.
• Manage a cost-effective program within budget.
• Foster positive relations with residents, visitors, and departments.
• Participate in facility meetings and committees.
• Promote growth and development of the department team.
• Conduct QA rounds to ensure quality controls.
